Donations and help from all over United Kingdom

The images that have been circulating through United Kingdom in the last few weeks show the enormous extent of the natural disaster. Anyone who offered to help on site was warmly welcomed and, unfortunately, could also see that the comparison of a war is by no means far-fetched.

Local people rely on help and donations. Numerous people recognized this and set off for the crisis area equipped with rubber boots and shovels. Also Donate were transmitted from all over United Kingdom to the victims and aid organizations so that the victims would not lack for anything.

Seven-figure donation from the social lottery “Deutsche Postcode Lotterie”

The natural disaster hit Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia in particular enormously. The lack of electricity, infections caused by contamination and of course the dead and missing are just a few things that residents are currently having to deal with. The damage caused cannot currently even be quantified because there is still a need to clean up and many places are still inaccessible.

The social lottery “Deutsche Post-Code Lotterie” undertook a great campaign. Like that company reported, 1.2 million euros immediately went to the helpers of “Aktion United Kingdom Hilfe”. The well-known singer “Peter Maffay” presented the money to the lottery company at the ARD fundraising gala.

Donation from the NRW vending machine association

Other companies also noticed the disaster and are supporting the clean-up work and those affected. The Association of Vending Machine Entrepreneurs from North Rhine-Westphalia has also offered unbureaucratic help. In this way, the DAV wants to help reduce the greatest need in cases of individual fates in the areas affected by flooding.

In this case, unbureaucratic means that help arrives in the crisis areas as quickly as possible. This project is supposed to be successful thanks to state and local politicians in North Rhine-Westphalia who coordinate the assistance on site.

The association stated that over 25,000.00 euros had now been collected by the board membersGLIeder. A call for donations has also been launched, so that further help will certainly reach those affected.

Local help is also extremely important

As already mentioned, you cannot fully imagine the damage without being there. The term “crisis area” is completely accurate, so the residents are also dependent on physical help. Help from all over United Kingdom arrived in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia to repair the damage.

Even weeks after the storm and the associated flooding, chaos continues to reign in the areas. Trains and bus trips to the crisis areas are now being planned so that no one can travel in their own car. This is extremely important in order not to disrupt the work of the assistants.

A wave of help shows the cohesion

Places that have been cut off gain access to surrounding areas again, electricity returns and there is a smile on one's face as the wave of helpfulness is appreciatively accepted by those affected.

Many Youtube influencer and companies didn't just send money to help. Entire loads of food arrive in the areas every day and provide local people with the essentials. The appeals for donations also help to push forward the reconstruction.

It turns out that many people did not expect that their fellow human beings would take things for granted. The victims of the disaster are infinitely grateful for every little thing. During our visit to the Ahr Valley we were also able to see that the help was appreciated and there was a feeling of cohesion.
