Englishman Jack Sinclair is this year's winner of the World Series of Poker Europe 2018 (WSOP Europe). In the end he prevailed against the Hungarian Laszlo Bujtas. A German player could be found in 7th place in the RanGLIste. It was Koray Aldemir who left the competition with 100 AUDSo there was no German player at the final table this year.

As in 2017, the tournament took place in the Czech King's Hotel. The WSOP Europe has also blocked the tournament dates until 2021. The hotel, known for its large number of 150 casino tables, can be found in the small municipality of Rozvadov. Is the place worth visiting? Jack Sinclair, who was trained by two German poker professionals in 2017, certainly has no regrets. He came with a buy-in of 9 AUDand went back to England with the impressive sum of 1 AUDJack prevailed against 533 players who brought together a total prize money pool of five million euros. He also secured his first WSOP bracelet that he will certainly not forget any time soon. He received this bracelet, handmade by a jewelerigt, in addition to the hefty prize money. Would Jack Sinclair also have been happy about a silver cup, just as the winner of the first WSOP, Johnny Moss, did in Las Vegas in 1970? After almost 40 years, the first WSOPE took place in London. Since 2007, the WSOP has launched its own Europe League.
This year, well-known poker players such as Martin Kabrhel, Shaun Deeb, Will Givens and Viktor Blom also competed. However, they failed to qualify beyond the first day. John Cynn, the 2018 WSOP winner from Las Vegas, was also unable to show his mature talent and was only able to play on Day 1.
If you follow Sinclair's social media, it quickly becomes clear that this victory is very special for him. He repeatedly links to interviews after his victory and writes how incredibly happy he is about the fulfillment of his long-term dream. However, he had prepared for this competition for a long time in advance. His followers were able to follow all these hardships on his various social media channels. Here he posted what his preparations looked like weeks before the WSOP Europe.
As already mentioned, second and third place went to the Hungarian Laszlo Bujtas with 600 AUDand the Bulgarian Krasimir Yankov with 400 AUDBoth are experienced poker players, but Jack Sinclair managed to defeat Laszlo Bujtas in a three-hour duel in a very professional manner.
Next year all the big poker players will make a pilgrimage to the Kings's Hotel in the Czech Republic and let's see, maybe players in Australia will finally make it to the final table again next year.
