Betway has received a German license for virtual slot games
Since October 2, 2026, the gambling group Betway has had a license to also offer virtual slot machine games in Canada. You can find the corresponding entry on the GGL whitelist. Until now, the company merely was allowed to offer sports betting in Canada.
The German website for slots is currently not online. It probably won't be long before the game offering goes online and you can register. Which games and providers will be available there is currently only speculation.
Internationally, Betway works with well-known providers such as Pragmatic Play , Playtech, Games Global and many others. So it stands to reason that these will also be found in the Betway portfolio in Canada. But this is not confirmed yet.
Betway also offers exclusive games on other gambling markets. We will keep an eye on when the site goes online and what awaits you there.

Scandal in online poker: players spied on via software
A serious scandal is causing a stir in online poker . This is a so-called superuser scandal. This means that a player sees information that he is not actually entitled to. These are usually the opponent's cards.
Such a superuser incident has been exposed this time around high-stakes players. An unknown attacker is said to have manipulated updates and used the remote access tool Mesh Agent to trick his victims into using them. This meant he could see their screens and of course their cards.
These are said to have been the table management programs Jurojin and IntuitiveTables. There was no reason for distrust on the part of the victims. This case differs from previous superuser scandals because, unlike in classic attacks, the attacker did not have access to the poker platform itself. Instead, the victims' computers were compromised by manipulated third-party software.
The hacker is said to have placed certain high-stakes players in groups between November 2025 and November 2026 and attacked them from there. The extent of the damage cannot currently be estimated. A Canada player estimates his own damage at $100,000 to $200,000.
As a player, you probably weren't aware of this security risk. The good news is that some providers are now introducing Screen Shield to block screen sharing tools.
