It doesn't happen too often, but every now and then the gambling world writes breathtaking stories. A very special story happened to a woman from Florida who was definitely lucky. Her name, how could it be otherwise, is Gloria. The whole thing happened at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, where the American regularly tried her luck. Last month, their efforts paid off twice as they ended up winning 2 million in just one month. The likelihood of such a scenario is considered breathtaking.

It remains exciting to see whether Gloria will achieve the jackpot hat trick and win another slot machines jackpot. ©Steve Sawusch/UNSPLASH As is well known, gambling itself requires a lot of luck, otherwise people will just burn their money. While some sometimes have luck on their side, others usually only have a new attempt and the hope of victory. For an American woman from Florida who goes by the name Gloria, great luck struck twice within a month. She was able to win a progressive jackpot twice on a slot machines, as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino itself announced.

The story, however, should begin with a small Christmas miracle, because according to Gloria, that was all she wanted. She had high hopes and ultimately wanted nothing more than to hit the progressive jackpot for Christmas. Her wish was supposed to come true on December 22nd when she won the jackpot on “Dragon Link”-slot machines. There she was able to receive a whopping $1.2 million with a small bet of $50. Her Christmas wish came true and the woman with the hopeful name beat the odds of 1 in 60 million. This is how high the probability of hitting the progressive jackpot on the “Dragon Link” machine is.

True to the motto: New year, new luck

However, the wonderful Christmas story didn't come to an end yet, because just a few weeks later there was another million-dollar win. The American visited the same casino again and tried her luck at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. With the idea of repeating the project, the woman played the “Dragon Link”-slot machines again before heading to the Aristocrat Gaming machine later that evening. Her second million win didn't have to wait long for her, as she managed to hit the jackpot again. The woman living in Florida was able to win a total of 1,045,153 USD, as the casino management itself announced. The casino workers had never experienced anything like this before, which is why they can hardly believe their eyes.

The statisticians who put happiness into a numerical format seem all the more astonished. Winning the jackpot once is considered extremely unlikely with a chance of 1 in 60 million. However, the probability of winning the jackpot twice is significantly higher. Statisticians put the probability at 1 in 3.6 quadrillion. When written out, the number looks like this: 3,600,000,000,000,000.

Good casino for gamblers

Gambling fans seem to be in good hands at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. In the past 2 months, 3 jackpots have already been won on slot machines, which is why this story will certainly attract some new gamblers. All in all, gamblers in Tampa can be happy, as last year a total of $1.6 billion was distributed by the slot machines to 56,000 different gamblers.

The new jackpot win last Sunday shouldn't just give Gloria reason to celebrate, as 642 other players also received free spins worth $100 each. As a prerequisite for this, however, you had to play on any machine with the Seminole Wildcard within 15 minutes of winning.
