Fans can see Kylie in Las Vegas for three months
Kylie Minogue announced on her Instagram accountigt that she would be playing her own show in Las Vegas from November to January. A new hall for events was built in the luxurious Venetian Hotel: the Voltaire. She will perform there from November 9th, 2023.
Ticket sales for her residency are scheduled to begin on August 9th. The Voltaire has 1,000 seats - the tickets will probably be in high demand. However, the exact dates of their performances have not yet been announced.
The Australian superstar explained in an interview that she had already been asked to perform in a show in Las Vegas in the past. However, in her opinion, it wasn't the right time back then: now, at the peak of her career, she has the experience and the self-confidence to be able to inspire the audience in Las Vegas.
Kylie Minogue is following in big footsteps
When an artist is allowed to play a concert series in Las Vegas, it is a special honor. Kylie Minogue joins a number of famous names with this new engagement.
Before her, greats like Céline Dion, Adele and Britney Spears had their own shows in Las Vegas. The so-called residencies have a great tradition in the city: the singer and pianist Liberace played an engagement in Las Vegas as early as the 1940s, before Frank Sinatra followed with the Rat Pack in the 1950s.
Both new and old hits
In an interview with the British magazine Hello! [Link to English] she said that the theme of the show would be “Glamour”. Of course, the magic of Las Vegas shouldn't be missing either.
"I want it [the show] to be the essence of what has become a Kylie show, enough glamor and dedication. I have some versions of songs that you've never heard before, like reinterpretations of songs, which is exciting. Live bed dances, amazing costumes." - Kylie MinogueAustralian pop singer Sky News
Kylie added that she will be playing a mix of old songs and new tracks. There will also be some new interpretations. Her 16th album will be released in November 2023, from which she will also perform some songs.
The Venetian Hotel shared with fans in a Press release [Link to English] stated that the Voltaire is an intimate club, a concert hall and an entertainment venue at the same time. This will also be evident in the interior for Kylie's show.
The fact that not every artist is so calm before their performances in Las Vegas is shown by an incident in November 2023: The singers Usher and Chris Brown clashed in the gambling metropolis before their shows and had a fight. It's unlikely that Kylie will make similar missteps.
Residency in Las Vegas at just the right time
Kylie Minogue told Hello! That she was looking forward to a great time in the gambling capital. The commitment now comes at exactly the right moment for her.
If you want to get tickets for one of Kylie Minogue's shows, you should hurry: when ticket sales start on August 9th, the tickets could sell out quickly.
