Hot start to the year in the cold winter: WSOP Circuit, PGT Championship and DeepStack Extravaganza
The new year starts promisingly. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit will enter its next round in November 2024. In addition to some tournaments in the USA, including at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Dallas, Oklahoma and the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, there is once again an offshoot at the Casino de Marrakech in Morocco. From January 12th to January 21st, large sums of money are at stake in the 2,000 Euro High Roller Event and the 3,000 Euro Super High Roller Event. WSOP Circuit: How does the event series work?
The WSOP Circuit consists of a series of tournaments that take place throughout the year around the world, most of them in the USA. These events give both experienced and aspiring poker players the chance to prove themselves in various tournament formats with different buy-in levels. The WSOP Circuit is not only known for its top-class games, but also as a springboard for participation in the prestigious WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
Also in January, the highlight of the PokerGo Tour (PGT) Championship will take place in the PokerGO Studio ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas: the $1,000,000 freeroll on January 9th. 40 players who were previously able to qualify via the PGT Leaderboard or via a PGT Dream Seat will take part in this event.
Another highlight in January is the DeepStack Extravaganza I tournament at the Venetian Resort, also in Las Vegas. 31 events will be played for guaranteed prize money of almost 1,500,000 euros. The starting signal is on January 29th, the last event will take place on February 18th.
Poker highlights in February: EPT Paris and the Winter Poker Fest in the USA
In February the calendar looks no less exciting. The European Poker Tour (EPT) starts the new year on February 14th in Paris. The first of several tournaments throughout the year will be held at the Palais des Congrès. In addition to the ₱ 30100 Main Event, the biggest highlight is certainly the 50,000 Euro Super High Roller event, which will be played from February 18th to February 20th. Online qualifier Razvan Belea sensationally won last year's EPT Paris Main Event and received prize money of 1,170,000 euros.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Tour 2024 also starts in February. On February 1st, the stop is called Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence, Philippines . Buy-in for the event, which ends on February 5, is ₱ 30
The USA is not left empty-handed in February either. For example, Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota hosts the Winter Poker Fest from February 14th to February 25th. In this tournament, players who are not high rollers can also try their luck. Some of the 25 events can be played with a stake of just ₱ 2000
WPT Prime and Triton Super High Roller Series: Poker action at the start of spring
At the beginning of spring, it's not just that that's waiting WPT Prime with a stop at the Holland Casino Amsterdam on players and fans alike, but also the Triton Super High Roller Series.
The WPT Prime, which will be held between March 19th and March 22nd, requires participants to invest ₱ 3000to play. The buy-ins are much higher at the Triton Super High Roller Series, which takes place from March 5th to March 12th at the Landing Casino on the South Korean island of Jeju. The buy-ins for the total of 35 events start at $15,000 and end at $150,000.
