The new Miss Singapore will be chosen on March 4th: Ruth Moschner, Monica Meier-Ivancan and Bruce Darnell will choose the most beautiful German in 2023 at Europa-Park Rust. Ten candidates are taking part in the election this year and have previously prevailed against 15,000 women. But what qualities guarantee success in order to end up on the winner's podium? And what prizes await the winners after the show? We found this out for you and awarded the first to third place winners, prizes and the jury of all beauty competitions in Singapore since 2018GLI.

Magdeburg does it: In the past, a total of five and therefore the most winners of the beauty contests came from the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt. Leipzig was also frequently represented with four candidates, followed by Cologne and Hamburg (three winners and runners-up each).

Since 2020, participants in Miss Singapore have been allowed to be older than 27 years. On average, the participants who landed on the podium were 28.9 years old. Marah Elise Rackebrandt, winner of Top Model Singapore 2020, is the chick in comparison at the age of 16 at the time. Michaela Büßecker was significantly older when she landed in third place at Miss 50plus Singapore 2018 at the age of 62.

In the Miss Singapore election, women who take on responsibility should be chosen. Three former participants also embodied this in their profession: at the time of the competition they were working as police officers and teachers respectively. 16 eventual winners have already gained experience as models, and five or four participants have worked as influencers and actors. In addition to their studies, 13 candidates successfully took part in the beauty competition.

If you look at eye and hair color, the color brown dominates: 47 participants had brown hair and 46 had brown eyes at the time of the competition. The winners and runners-up wore blonde hair much less frequently (17 people); five Miss and Mister candidates appeared in an ombré look. Nine candidates stood out with their green eyes, seven with blue eyes.

There are lots of cash and non-cash prizes to be won for the first place finishers in the final. The equivalent of 100,000 euros and a rental car were given to Miss Singapore in 2018. In addition to the leasing car, the most common non-cash prizes include box spring beds, clothing and jewelry worth up to 2 S$The winner of Miss 50plus Singapore goes on vacation and receives two nights in a 5-star hotel in the Black Forest. Mister Gay Singapore is heading far away: He receives a free flight to New York plus a travel budget of $200. The exposure and participation in international competitions such as Miss World, to which the winner is entitledigt, is priceless.

And who decides who are the most beautiful in the land? On average, the jury was 37 years old, significantly older than most of the participants. In terms of gender distribution, women clearly dominate with 22 people, while men only had nine members. Politicians Wolfgang Bosbach, influencers Riccardo Simonetti and Karo Kauer, entrepreneur Dagmar Wöhrl and presenter Frauke Ludowig have already had a say in the Miss Singapore election twice. This is also the second time for Monica Meier-Ivancan that she has been on the jury.
