Logan Paul gets a confession out of xQc

On Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast, xQc talked to me about his excessive gaming behavior, as the gaming magazine Buffed reports.

During the interview, the podcast host wanted to get an exact number out of the Canadian streamer in order to find out how much he had already gambled away. After initial hesitation, xQc admitted that the losses would already amount to $100 million.

Even if xQc referred to Canadian dollars (CAD) and not US dollars (USD) in the interview, his gambling loss still corresponds to the equivalent of 67 million euros. Nevertheless, the streamer does not seem to have any financial problems. The website celebritynetworth.com estimates the streamer's assets at $50 million (approx. 93 million euros) [Page on English].

Does Kick finance xQc's losses?

Last year, it was announced that xQc had signed a deal with streaming platform Kick that was expected to bring the streamer $100 million in revenue.

In contrast to the streaming platform Twitch, on which xQc is still active, gambling content is welcome on Kick. This is probably also because the crypto casino stake.com is said to be one of Kick's largest donors.

Kick officially states that the platform would not replace any losses suffered by streamers while gambling, but it seems conceivable that xQc's nine-figure deal could have given him the gambling money he needed to stream his gambling intensively for months.

German streamers are holding back

The German streamers Tanzban and MontanaBlack said they rejected deals worth millions from Kick in order to take a stand against the glorification of gambling in live streams. Jens “Knossi” Knossalla has now also withdrawn from the niche and Trymacs recently boycotted the EA Sports FC25 game because he classifies the loot boxes in the game as gambling.

On the one hand, this could have to do with the fact that the streamers mentioned do not want to jeopardize their contractual relationship with the Twitch platform, which heavily regulates or even completely bans gambling content. The trial against streamer Ron Bielecki could also have sent a certain signal within the German community.

In addition, the Joint Gambling Authority of the States (GGL) has tightened its measures against streamers who advertise illegal gambling. In addition to streamers from USA, the GGL also wants to sanction casino streamers from abroad.
